Terms of Use

The Directorate of Museums / Ministry of Culture and Sports / Hellenic Republic (hereinafter DM) offers the web portal for use under the following terms and conditions, which visitors/users should read carefully and go on to visit/use the DM website/applications only if they accept these terms fully. Using the portal means that they accept these terms. The present terms of use may be revised and updated at any point in time without prior notice.

  1. Visitors/users are responsible for their own access to the DM web portal. Moreover, they are exclusively responsible for their own equipment and necessary technological means that enable their access to the web portal.
  2. DM takes all the necessary measures to ensure the correct operation of the web portal. Nevertheless, DM is not responsible for any adverse consequence or damage that the portal users may suffer from its use or failure to use it, delays during its use and from errors or omissions therein.
  3. The DM provides no warranty that the pages, services, options and contents will be provided without interruptions or errors, that the errors will be corrected or that answers will be given to questions posed. Similarly, the portal or any affiliated web site or servers do not warranty that the content made available to the visitors/users is provided free of “viruses” or other malicious components. The cost of possible corrections or repairs constitutes the sole responsibility of the visitors/users.
  4. DM bears no responsibility for the accessibility, content, privacy policy and quality of services of other websites, which users access through its own web portal (via links).
  5. The entire portal, including texts, graphics, photographs and drawings, videos, etc, with the exception of those instances mentioned (intellectual rights of third parties, associates and agencies), constitutes the intellectual property of DM and shall be protected by the national, community and international law in effect. The visitors/users understand and accept that they are not entitled to modify, sell, resell and/or commercially exploit the portal content, in any manner whatsoever in whole or in part.
  6. All data received by the DM through the present portal, which are either, as the case may be, sent by users or gathered by them during their navigation, are subject to the legal framework on privacy.
  7. DM retains the right to legally amend the content of the portal, with or without notice to its visitors/users.
  8. The above terms and conditions for the use of the DM web portal, as well as any amendments are governed and supplemented by national and EU law, as well as the relevant international treaties.
  9. The content of the web portal is made available to visitors for use in the education process.
